Saddlebred Today is a site that grew out of our interest and involvement with American Saddlebreds. That involvement was born out of a love of horses and the way of life that one chooses when you have horses in your life. Our hope has always been to develop this into a resource that helps our many users and ourselves enjoy Saddlebreds even more.

One of the key ways we think to accomplish that is to find ways to have more quality time with our horses and the things we enjoy doing with them. For some that is showing as many times during the show season as possible, for others it is simply making at their local county fair or horse show. Still for others it is the simple enjoyment of looking out one’s backdoor and seeing a beautiful horse leisurely grazing in our own private pasture.

Certainly our focus is going to be on the day to day factors that effect our time we spend with our horses. This will also include the outside factors that impact our well laid plans to spend time with our horses, everything from the weather to pesky bosses who don’t understand why you don’t want to work on the weekends. And last but not least the money factor or maybe we should say, lack of money factor and the many ways to stretch every dollar further.
